Adam R. Cherry

Adam R. Cherry, 15, of Shelvey Summit Road, Kersey, died on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at his home following a house fire.

He was born on September 27, 2000, in St. Marys, a son of Albert Cherry of Kersey and Staci Fulton of Johnsonburg, who survive.

Adam was a 9th grade student at St. Marys Area High School, where he was active in the marching band, high school concert band and the indoor percussion ensemble.  He was also a participant in the Nicholas J. Sinibaldi Community Band.  He had a great love for music, and had made the musical arrangements for a song called "Cool Kids", which was played at the 8th grade Matriculation Ceremony.  He loved playing a variety of instruments, including the guitar, piano, saxophone, clarinet and the drums.  He was a kind and gentle person who will be lovingly remembered for his musical talents and for the lives he touched.  He attended both the St. Boniface Church in Kersey and the Holy Rosary Church in Johnsonburg.

In addition to his parents, Albert Cherry of Kersey and Staci Fulton of Johnsonburg, he is survived by a brother, Alex Cherry of Kersey, three sisters, Cheyenne Cherry, Jenna Cherry, and Grace Cherry, all of Kersey and by a step-sister and step-brother, Samantha Wall and Bailey Wall, both of Kersey.  He is also survived by numerous aunts and uncles, including Kris Clark of Chesterfield, VA, Jaci (Mike) King of Johnsonburg, Anne (Joshua) Donohue of Pittsburgh, Nicklous Cherry of Johnsonburg, Donna (Mike) Waigand of Kane, Cindy (Pat) Lupino of Ridgway and Dino (Suzanne) Cherry of Kane as well as numerous cousins and friends.

He was joined in death by his step-mother, Rhonda Kline, and was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, William and Paula Fulton and by his paternal grandmother, Beatrice Cherry, as well as two uncles, Robert  "Bobby" Cherry and Richard "Ricky" Cherry.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Adam R. Cherry will be celebrated on Saturday, January 23, 2016, at 10:00 AM at Queen of the World Church, 134 Queens Road, St. Marys, PA 15857 where the family will also receive friends from 9:00 AM until the time of the service.  The family will also receive friends on Friday evening at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 PM.
