Albert S. "Abie" Iorfida
, 85, a resident of Pinecrest Manor and formerly of 320 Depot Street, St. Marys, died on Sunday, September 28, 2014 at Penn Highlands Elk.
He was born on April 12, 1929, a son of the late Joseph and Gladys Quatroche Iorfida.
On October 1, 1949, he married Kathryn Shadd Iorfida, who preceded him in death on April 9, 1987.
Abie was a lifelong resident of the area and he worked at Pure Carbon for more than 21 years. He was also a tv repairman for Murone's for many years. He will always be remembered for his pranks and practical jokes, and he enjoyed going to camp and spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter, June Lynn Iorfida, who died on September 13, 1975, a granddaughter, Angela Ceriani, three sisters, Josephine Ferris, Rose Facetti and Eleanor Baker, and a brother, Ralph Iorfida.
Funeral Services for Albert S. Iorfida will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2014, at 11:00 AM at Lynch-Green Funeral Home with Rev. Eric Vogt, OSB, officiating.
Visitation will be held at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home on Wednesday morning from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM.
Interment will be in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to the Pinecrest Manor Activity Fund.
