Alberta "Bertie" Ehrensberger

Alberta M. "Bertie" Ehrensberger , 81, of 1146 S. Michael Road, St. Marys, died unexpectedly on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at her home.

She was born on December 28, 1933, a daughter of the late Albert M. and Beatrice Krieg Samick.

On September 26, 1953 in St. Marys Church, she married Richard M. Ehrensberger, who preceded her in death on December 14, 2003.

Bertie was a lifelong resident of the area and a member of Queen of the World Church.  She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family.  She especially enjoyed spending time with her sister and will always be remembered for her heartwarming smile.

She is survived by a daughter, Mary Lynn (John) Buerk, and by 3 sons, Kenneth (Elizabeth "Bitsy") Ehrensberger, Ronald (Lisa) Ehrensberger, and Michael (Kim) Ehrensberger, all of St. Marys,12 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter and one great grandchild on the way.  She was also survived by 3 sisters, Helen Frederickson of St. Marys, Marlene Braun of St. Marys, Gertrude Gardner of Byrnedale and by a brother, Robert Samick of Ridgway, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kelly Ann Ehrensberger, a grandson, Dylan Richard Ehrensberger and by a brother, Albert Samick, Jr.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Alberta M. "Bertie" Ehrensberger will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 29, 2015, at 10:00 AM at Queen of the World Church, 134 Queens Road, St. Marys, PA  with Rev. Richard Allen, Pastor, officiating.
Interment will follow in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 from 5:00 until 8:00 PM.
