Anna Mae Haberberger

September 14, 1923 — January 24, 2015

Anna Mae Haberberger, 91, of 1050 S. Michael Road, St. Marys, died on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Penn Highlands Elk following a short illness.

She was born on September 14, 1923, a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Greidl Lecker.

On October 4, 1938 in Queen of the World Church, she married James "Duffy" Haberberger, who preceded her in death on January 23, 2011.

Mrs. Haberberger was a lifelong resident of the area and a member of Queen of the World Church.  She retired from Sylvania after many years of service.  She enjoyed knitting and baking and was well known for making wedding cakes years ago.  She also enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.

She is survived by 2 sons, Michael Haberberger and his wife Renata of Kersey, and James (Katie Epps) Haberberger of Bluffton, SC; 4 grandchildren, Nicole (Paul) Vogt, Logan Haberberger, Mitchel Haberberger and Savannah Epps; 3 step-grandchildren, Angelina Antonuccio, Nyssa Benninger and John Wildnauer as well as 3 great grandchildren, Cayden and twins Cameron and Kendal.

In addition to her  parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by 6 brothers, Leroy, Dennis, Alphonse, James, Andrew and Merle Lecker and by a sister, Catherine "Sis" Robson.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Anna Mae Haberberger will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 28, 2015, at 12:00 PM at Queen of the World Church, Queens Road, St. Marys, PA with Fr. Eric Vogt, OSB officiating.
Interment will be in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 from 10:00 AM until 11:30 AM.
