Anthony "Tony" Mcgill

Anthony A. "Tony" McGill , 68 of 384 Rightmeyer St., St. Marys, died on Sunday, April 27, 2014, at Penn Highlands Elk in St. Marys.

He was born on February 18, 1946 in St. Marys, a son of the late Aloysious McGill and the late Mary Piccolo McGill Reed.
On May 31, 1975, he married Marie Caggiano McGill, who survives.

Tony was a member of Sacred Heart Church and attended SMAHS.  He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, having served in the U.S. Navy.  He was employed by CG Electrodes for more than 28 years and retired from Ricochet XPress.  He was a member of the Elks Club and enjoyed spending time with his son's dog, Sheeba.  He also enjoyed camping, going dancing with his wife and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife of more than 38 years, Marie Caggiano McGill, he is survived by 3 sons, Jim (Amy) Gulnac of Newton, NC, Jerry (Melanie) Gulnac of St. Marys, Jason McGill of St. Marys, a daughter, Toni (Geoff) Oskorus of St. Marys; 7 grandchildren, Courtney (Jacob) Reynolds, Kristen Gulnac, Justine Gulnac, Michael Gulnac, Makenna Gulnac, Aidan and Blake Oskorus and by 2 great-grandchildren, twins Jennah and Austin Reynolds.  He is also survived by 2 brothers, Richard (Mary) McGill of Texas, William Piccolo of Kentucky, a sister, Judith Hanes of Tennessee, a brother-in-law, Paul Johnson of Weedville and by numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Lloyd Reed, 3 brothers, Robert, Joseph and Thomas McGill and by one sister, Mary "Sue" Johnson.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Anthony A. "Tony" McGill will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at Sacred Heart Church, 337 Center Street, St. Marys with Rev. Eric Vogt, OSB, as celebrant.
Interment will be in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.
Military Honors will be accorded by the St. Marys Servicemen's Burial Detail.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home, 151 N. Michael Street, St. Marys.
