Arlene B. Prechtel

Arlene B. Prechtel , 86, of 137 Woodland Road, St. Marys, died unexpectedly at her home on Wednesday, April 7, 2021.

She was born on February 2, 1935, in Shawmut, a daughter of the late John and Alice Keller Carr.

On October 6, 1956 in St. Marys Church, she married the late Raymond "Junie" Prechtel, Jr., who preceded her in death on January 1, 1982.

Mrs. Prechtel was a livelong resident of the area and member of St. Marys Church.  She retired from Keystone after many years of service.  Over the years, she enjoyed going camping.  She was particularly fond of cardinals and was loved and will be missed by many.

She is survived by four daughters; Jane Casher and her husband Bob of Kentucky, Diane Jamieson and her husband Tom of Tidioute, Joan Thompson and her husband Kevin of Custer City, and Sandy Young and her husband John of St. Marys.  She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 3 great- great-grandchildren, as well as by a brother; Elwin Carr and his wife Charlene of St. Marys.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by six brothers; Bernard, Floyd, Gerald, Francis, Harold, Donald, by four sisters; June Appenzellar, Betty Evans, Joann Eckert, and Ruth Copello, as well as by a brother in infancy, Robert.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Arlene B. Prechtel is being scheduled and will be announced at a later date.
Interment will be in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.
