Betty J. Tesauro

Betty J. Tesauro , 87, a resident of Elk Haven Nursing Home and formerly of Evers Avenue, St. Marys, died on Saturday, December 8, 2018 following a brief illness.

She was born on May 9, 1931, in DuBois, a daughter of the late Robert Graham and Laura Huff.

On June 23, 1950 in Penfield, she married Charles Tesauro, who preceded her in death on August 18, 2016.

Betty graduated from Bennetts Valley High School and was a member of First United Methodist Church.  She greatly enjoyed square dancing with her husband and they belonged to the Belles of St. Marys.  She loved to cook and bake, and also enjoyed knitting and crocheting.  Together with her husband, they fostered several children throughout the years.

She is survived by one daughter, Diane Krug and her husband Fred of St. Marys; four grandchildren, Cory (Stephanie) Krug of San Raphael, CA, Kristy (Kevin) Costanzo of Pittsburgh, Jason (Leah) Smith of Washington, Jill (Cindy Shen) Smith of Maryland; one great-grandchild, Alexia Smith and by a daughter-in-law, Jean Tesauro of Emporium.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Michael Tesauro on March 15, 2001 and Charles "Carmen" Tesauro on April 29, 2010; an infant daughter, Sue Ann Tesauro on October 20, 1964; a sister, Martha Laudenbach and by an uncle, Roy Huff.

Funeral Services for Betty J. Tesauro will be held on Wednesday, December 12, 2018, at 11:00 AM at First United Methodist Church, 140 N. St. Marys, Street, St. Marys, PA 15857 with Rev. Tim Hoover, Pastor, and Rev. Missy Smith, officiatin g.

Interment will follow in St. Marys Protestant Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, Elk Haven Activities Fund, or to the Elk County Humane Society.
