Carol M. Hnath

Carol M. Hnath , 68 of 380 Berwind St., St. Marys, died on Thursday, March 6, 2014, at her home following a lengthy illness.

She was born on April 24, 1945 in St. Marys, a daughter of the late Joseph and Alice Wickett Caskey.
On August 1, 1979, she married John "Gary" Hnath, who preceded her in death on May 1, 2011.

Carol was a lifelong resident of the area and a graduate of ECCHS, class of 1964.  She was a member of Queen of the World Church and retired from Sylvania after many years of service.  She enjoyed shopping, her dog, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Steve Atkeson and his wife Michele; Thomas Atkeson; Kelly, Mrs. David Stebich; Martin Hnath; Mark "Butch" Hnath and his wife Lori; John Hnath, Jr.; and Lynn, Mrs. Dennis Hoffman, all of St. Marys.  She is also survived by 9 grand children, 4 great grand children and 2 sisters, Sandy, Mrs. Larry Reagle and Susan, Mrs. Rob Zimmerman, both of St. Marys.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, John Caskey, and a sister, Diane Gerber.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Carol M. Hnath will be celerated at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Sacred Heart Church, 337 Center Street, St. Marys, PA 15857 with the Rev. Eric Vogt, O.S.B. officiating.
Inurnment will follow in the St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.
