Charles "Ray" Copello

Charles R. "Ray" Copello , 83 of Brandycamp Road, Kersey, died on Saturday evening, March 22, 2014, at his home following a brief illness.

He was born on September 14, 1930 in Kersey, a son of the late Joseph and Bernice Keller Copello.
On June 18, 1949, he married Margaret "Peg" Geist Copello, who survives.

Ray was a lifelong resident of the area and was a self-employed logger his whole life.  He enjoyed playing the lottery and solitaire.

In addition to his wife of more than 64 years, Margaret "Peg" Copello, he is survived by 5 sons; Gary Copello of Milesburg, Larry (Tina) Copello of Dagus Mines, Charles "Chuck" Copello of St. Marys, Jerry Joe (Linda) Copello of St. Marys, Tony Copello of Kersey, and 2 daughters, Faythe Brown of St. Marys and Betsy Copello, at home.  He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and16 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Holly Scanish, and a brother and sister in infancy.

Funeral Services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Ridge Cemetery, Brandycamp.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Fox Township Ambulance Association or to the Fox Township Fire Department.
