Dale R. Erich

Dale R. Erich , 53, of 848 Cardinal Road, St. Marys, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at his home following a brief illness.

He was born on March 16, 1968, in St. Marys, a son of Arnold "Butch" and Doris Rigard Erich, who survive of St. Marys.

On November 5, 1988 in the Philippines, he married Josefina "Josie" Pandong, who survives of St. Marys.

Dale was a graduate of St. Marys Area High School, class of 1986.  He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1986-1994 and had been employed at Graftech for many years.  Dale was an avid Harley enthusiast and never turned down the chance to take his Harley for a ride.  He also greatly enjoyed hunting and fishing, and could often be found in the woods in his favorite hunting spots.  He was also particularly fond of his grand-dog, Bentley, whom he loved spending time with.

In addition to his parents, Arnold "Butch" and Doris Erich, and his wife of more than 33 years, Josie Erich, he is survived by one daughter; Jennifer Kocher of St. Marys.  He is also survived by three siblings; Chris (Dawn) Erich of Ridgway, Roger (Dove) Erich of Ohio, and Karen (Joe) Gallagher of Exeter, PA as well as by several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother; David Erich, and by his maternal and paternal grandparents.

A Memorial Service for Dale R. Erich will be held on Friday, January 7, 2022, at 1:00 PM at Lynch-Green Funeral Home with Rev. Peter Augustine Pierjok, OSB, officiating.
Interment will be in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.

Friends and family will be received on Friday, January 7, 2022 from 12:00 PM until the time of the service.

Military Honors will be accorded by the St. Marys Servicemen's Burial Detail.
