Danial J. Ruffner , 33, of Scribner Avenue, DuBois, and formerly of Kersey died at UPMC Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh on Saturday, October 19, 2013 following complications of a long battle with Leukemia.
He was born January 2, 1980 in Lewistown, a son of Donald and Cheryl (Heiberger) Ruffner of Kersey and Casey and Deborah (Werneth) Bowers of DuBois.
Dan was Catholic by faith, attended St. Marys Schools and was employed in the gas and oil industry. He was an avid gun hobbiest and enthusiast and was a member of the NRA. He loved working on and restoring older vehicles and attending car shows. He also greatly enjoyed mixed martial arts (UFC) and wrestling (WWE). Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Danial J. Ruffner will be Celebrated at the St. Mary's Catholic Church, Church Street, St. Marys, on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Thomas More Sikora, O.S.B., as Celebrant.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Danial J. Ruffner will be Celebrated at the St. Mary's Catholic Church, Church Street, St. Marys, on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Thomas More Sikora, O.S.B., as Celebrant.
Burial will be in the St. Boniface Cemetery in Kersey.
Visitation will be at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home, 151 N. Michael St., St. Marys on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
