Dennis G. Buerk

Dennis G. Buerk , 71, of 357 Grant Street, St. Marys, died on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Penn Highlands DuBois following heart complications.

He was born on March 11, 1950, in St. Marys, a son of the late  Gilbert and Henrietta "Mutchie" Ruehl Buerk.

On February 14, 1976 in St. Marys Church, he married the love of his life, Sharon Evans Buerk, who survives.  Together they shared nearly 46 years of love, laughter, and happiness.

Denny was a lifelong resident of the area and a graduate of St. Marys Area High School, class of 1968.  He was a member of the New Hope in Christ Church in Ridgway.  He worked for more than 18 years at Stackpole Carbon Company, then retired from Sylvania after many years of service.  In his free time, he enjoyed camping and fishing.  A loving and devoted husband and father, Denny was a family man who loved nothing more than spending time with his family.  He was a man of faith and was very fun-loving, always making friends with everyone he met.

In addition to his beloved wife, Sharon Evans Buerk; he is survived by a daughter; Renee Buerk and her fiance Shawn Lecker of St. Marys and by one son; Ryan Buerk of St. Marys.  He is also survived by four siblings; John (Mary) Buerk, Diane (Kurt) Samick, Glenn Buerk, and Rick Buerk, all of St. Marys as well as by numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a nephew, Gilbert "Gibby" Buerk and by a sister-in-law; Wanda Russell.

Funeral Services for Dennis G. Buerk will be held on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Lynch-Green Funeral Home with Pastor Ed Burkett officiating.
Interment will be in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 from 9:30 AM until the time of the service.
