Derek M. Meyer
, 22, of 236 South Michael St.., St. Marys, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at his home.
He was born on March 30, 1992, a son of Michael and Jeniffer Carpin Meyer.
Derek was a lifelong resident of the area and he greatly enjoyed playing the guitar. He was an avid guitarist who enjoyed concerts and also played in his grandfather's band, "Off the Charts".
In addition to his parents, Michael and Jeniffer Carpin Meyer, he is survived by a sister, Nicole Meyer of St. Marys, his paternal grandparents, Greg and Donna Meyer of St. Marys, his maternal grandparents, Ron and Sandy Carpin of Byrnedale, as well as aunts, uncles and cousins, including Troy (Trisha) Meyer of St. Marys, Michele Walters of St. Marys, Joann Carpin of St. Marys and James Carpin of Byrnedale.
A Memorial Service is being planned and will be held at a later date.
