Donald O. Keener

Donald O. Keener, 71, of 235 Ash Street, Ridgway, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at his home.
He was born on January 21, 1946, in Franklin, PA, a son of the late James and Dora Morrison Keener.
On August 28, 1965 he married JoAnn Witherow Keener, who preceded him in death in 2002.
Mr. Keener had lived in Ridgway most of his life and was a self employed contractor throughout the years. He also worked for many years as a truck driver for Modern Dairy and later drove bus for Muccio School Transportation. He had also been employed at Elk County Heat Treaters. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, and his dog, Fred.
He is survived by two sons, Steven Keener and Shawn (Kelly) Keener, both of Ridgway; a daughter, Joetta Keener and her companion Doug Morgan of Ridgway; and by two grandchildren, Charles and Randall Keener. He is also survived by two brothers, Melvin (Diane) Keener of Chapmanville, Jimmie (Sandra) Keener of Franklin, by a sister, Marilyn (Dan) Sherman of Wattsburg; as well as by many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by twin grandsons, Alexander and Andrew Keener, and by five brothers, James, Jr., Richard, Marvin, Clarence and David Keener.
Funeral and Committal Services for Donald O. Keener are being scheduled and will be held at the convenience of the family.
Interment will be in Lake City Cemetery.
