Donna L. Gnan

Donna L. Gnan , 75, of 1281 S. Michael Road, St. Marys, died on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at UPMC Hamot following a lengthy illness.

She was born on August 11, 1941, in Ridgway, a daughter of the late Presley and Doris Wolford Barnett.

On November 8, 1958, in Sacred Heart Church, she married Robert Gnan, Sr., who survives.

Mrs. Gnan was a lifelong resident of the area and a graduate of Ridgway High School.  She was a member of Queen of the World Church and retired from St. Marys Carbon after more than 45 years of service.  She enjoyed going to camp and cooking.  Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Robert Gnan, Sr., she is survived by four sons, Robert (Marie) Gnan, Jr., Kevin (Marilyn) Gnan, Brian Gnan and Steve Gnan, all of St. Marys,  She is also survived by six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and by a brother, William (Sharon) Barnett of Ridgway.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Donna L. Gnan will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 10, 2017, at 12:30 PM at Queen of the World Church with Rev. Richard Allen, officiating.
Interment will be in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home on Monday, January 9, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
