Doris A. Celin

Doris A. "Sorgie" Celin , 79, of 140 East Oilwell Street, St. Marys, died on Thursday, May 31, 2012 at Hamot Medical Center in Erie following a brief illness.
She was born March 3, 1933 in St. Marys, a daughter of the late Sebastian and Margaret Deth Sorg.
On October 23, 1953 in St. Marys Church, she married Anthony M. Celin, who survives.
Mrs. Celin was a member of the Sacred Heart Church, where she was very active as a volunteer. She graduated from SMAHS, class of 1951. She retired after many years as a secretary for the district magistrate. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards and spending time with her family and friends.

Daughter: Amy, Mrs. Ron "Butch" Meier, St. Marys

Sisters: Esther Hannibal, Marie Lang, Matilda DeWald, Bernice Ray, Rita Samick, Mabel Zernell, Helen Solic and one sister in infancy, Magdalena Sorg

Mass of Christian Burial
for Doris A. Celin will be celebrated at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 325 Center Street, St. Marys, on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at 12:00 PM with Rev. Eric Vogt, O.S.B., as Celebrant.
Burial will follow in the St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home, 151 N. Michael St., St. Marys on Monday evening from 5-8 PM.
