Doris M. Krug

December 12, 1927 — January 18, 2017

Doris M. Krug , 89, a resident of Elk Haven Nursing Home and formerly of 1938 Bucktail Road, St. Marys, died on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 following a short illness.

She was born on December 12, 1927, in St. Marys, a daughter of the late Albert and Theresa Schwabenbauer Krug.

Doris was a lifelong resident of the area and a graduate of Central High School.  She was a member of St. Marys Church, where she also worked for many years.  Years ago, she had also been active with and enjoyed the Belles of St. Marys.  She loved spending time with her family, especially her great nieces and nephews and will be dearly missed by her family.

She is survived by a sister-in-law, Lillian Krug of St. Marys, two nephews, Kenneth Krug and Mark Krug, both of St. Marys, and by two nieces, Linda (Edwin) Feronti of Johnsonburg and Mary Del Krug of Erie.   She is also survived by numerous great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Hilary Krug and William Krug, Sr., by two sisters, Marjarie Krug and Mabel Newell, and by two nephews, William Krug, Jr., and Thomas Krug.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Doris M. Krug will be celebrated on Saturday, January 21, 2017, at 10:00 AM at St. Marys Church with Rev. Alfred Patterson, OSB, officiating.
Interment will follow in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.

At Doris's request, there will be no public visitation.


Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Jude's Hospital or to the Shriner's Hospitals.
