Doris M. Schatz

Doris M. Schatz , 86, of 105 David Street, Kersey, and formerly of St. Marys, died on Monday, September 21, 2015 following a lengthy illness.

She was born on October 10, 1928, a daughter of the late Joseph and Alvina Wolfe Schreiber.

She was formerly married to Louis A. Schatz, Jr., who preceded her in death in 1991.

Doris was a lifelong resident of the area and worked at the Thoughtfulness Shop in St. Marys from the time it opened until her retirement in 2000.  She greatly enjoyed camping, playing cards, puzzles and roadtrips.  Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by four daughters:

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son and daughter in infancy, Richard Schatz and Mary Ann Schatz, a grandson in infancy, Daniel Luchini, Jr.,, a grandson, Matthew Wortman, and a granddaughter-in-law, Debbie Tamburlin.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Doris M. Schatz will be celebrated on Thursday, September 24, 2015, at 11:00 AM at St. Boniface Church, Main Street, Kersey, PA 15846  with Rev. Ross Miceli, Pastor, officiating.
Interment will be in the St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
