Dorothy P. "Dotty" Andres , 85, recently of Elk Haven and formerly of 1228 E. Eschbach Road, died on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at Elk Haven Nursing Home following a brief illness.
She was born September 19, 1925 in Akron, OH, a daughter of the late Norman and Margaret Frantz Muth.
On April 9, 1946 in New Orleans, LA, she married the late Roger A. Andres, who preceded her in death on January 29, 1994.
Mrs. Andres was a member of Queen of the World Church and the Rosary Altar Society.  She worked for many years at Loblaw's in St. Marys, at Sylvania in Emporium and also in the school cafeteria at Queen of the World.  She enjoyed quilting and making fudge.  She especially enjoyed playing cards with her friends and she cherished the friendship they shared throughout the years.  She was the last member of her immediate family.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Norma Muth, and 3 brothers; Harold, Arthur and Burnell Muth.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Dorothy P. Andres will be Celebrated at the Queen Of The World Church, 134 Queens Road, on Friday, August 19, 2011 at 12:00 PM with Rev. Michael Ferrick, Pastor  and  Rev. Eric Vogt, O.S.B., Concelebrants. Burial will be in the St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home, 151 N. Michael St., St. Marys on Friday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 AM.
