Dorothy J. Curley

Dorothy J. Curley , 82 of the Colorado Lutheran Home in Arvada, Colorado, and formerly of Kersey, PA, died on Monday, February 10, 2014, at Colorado Lutheran Home following a battle with cancer and Alzheimer's Disease.

She was born on August 14, 1931 in DuBois, the daughter of the late Henry and Leona Braund Boring.
On August 1, 1952, she married Richard J. Curley, who preceded her in death on April 14, 1997.

She was a graduate of DuBois High School, class of 1949 and was a member of the Christian Alliance Church.  She was a member of the Kersey Senior Center and the St. Elizabeth Gardens in Denver.  While a resident at the Colorado Lutheran Home, she was honored twice for her artistry with paintings shown for Memories in the Making, a silent auction of artwork done by Alzheimer's patients.  In addition to painting, she greatly enjoyed her pets, especially her cats and dogs.  She will be remembered for her laughter and her beautiful smile that accompanied the laughter.  Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survivived by 3 daughters, Diane Palmer of St. Marys, Elisabeth "Nancy" Crawford of Denver, CO and Beverly Pasi of Ridgway; 4 sons, David Curley of Kersey, Paul (LaDell) Curley of Colorado Springs, CO, Steve (Yvonne) Curley of St. Marys, and Michael Curley of Kersey, 19 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Richard Curley, on October 12, 2002.

Funeral Services for Dorothy J. Curley will be held on Monday, February 17, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home, 151 N. Michael Street St. Marys, PA 15857.  Interment will be in Elkton Cemetery, Kersey, PA.

Visitation will be held on Sunday afternoon from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home.
