Dorothy M. Kronenwetter

Dorothy M. "Patty" Kronenwetter , 90, of 463 Maple Street, St. Marys, died on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at Elk Haven Nursing Home.

She was born on May 22, 1924, a daughter of the late Herbert and Anna Kronenwetter Lion.

On July 19, 1950  in St. Marys, she married Cyril Kronenwetter, who preceded her in death in 1979.

Patty was a member of St. Marys Church and a graduate of St. Marys Catholic High School, class of 1941.  She enjoyed teaching music, especially the piano and had received credential certificates from the Warren Conservatory and from St. Louis, Missouri.  She took a progressive series of piano lessons, and received her Elementary Teachers Certificate in 1946.  In her early years, she enjoyed bowling and golf.  She also volunteered at the Resale Shop and at the local churches.

She is survived by two sons; Aaron "Pete" Kronenwetter and his fiance Maria Steele of Kersey, and Ernest "Ernie" Kronenwetter and his wife Mary Kay of St. Marys.  She is also survived by 2 grandsons, Allen Kronenwetter and Jeffrey Kronenwetter and by 6 great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by a brother, Wendel (Carol) Lion of St. Marys and by two sisters, Salome "Lovey" Kronenwetter of St. Marys, and Rita Lion of Boca Raton, FL, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter in infancy, Judith Ann, a son in infancy, Peter James, and by a brother, William Lion.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Dorothy M. Kronenwetter will be celebrated on Saturday, November 22, 2014, at 10:00 AM at St. Marys Church, CHurch St., St. Marys with Rev. Alfred Patterson, OSB, officiating.
Interment will be in the St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.

There will be no visitation.
