Dr. Jerome W. Poulliott, Jr

Dr. Jerome W. Poulliott, Jr. , 82, of 560 Church Street, St. Marys, died on Sunday, May 13, 2012 at Hamot Medical Center in Erie.

He was born September 10, 1929 in Williamsport, PA, a son of the late Jerome W. and Sarah Catherine Fague Poulliott.

On June 29, 1957 in Philadelphia, he married Kathleen Kearney Poulliott, who survives.

Dr. Poulliott was a member of St. Marys Church.  He served in the U.S. Air Force in Saudi Arabia from 1957-1959.  He received his undergraduate degree from Bucknell University, his medical degree from Temple University and served his Internship and Surgical Residency at Germantown Hospital in Phildelphia.  He was a board certified surgeon and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.  He enjoyed reading and cooking.  Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his beloved wife of nearly 55 years, Kathleen Kearney Poulliott, he is suvived by:

Son: Joseph Poulliott and his wife Michele, Coraopolis

Brother: James Poulliott, NYC

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers; John and Joseph Poulliott.

There will be No Visitation.

Relatives and friends of Dr. Jerome W. Poulliott, Jr. are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial which will be Celebrated at the St. Mary's Catholic Church, Church Street, St. Marys, on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at 12:00 PM with Rev. Eric Vogt, O.S.B., as Celebrant.
Burial will be in the St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the St. Marys Public Library, Center St., St. Marys, PA or to the Elk County Catholic School System, 600 Maurus St., St. Marys, PA 15857.
