Edith O Azzato

June 7, 1921 — December 23, 2016

Edith O. Azzato , 95, a resident of Pinecrest Manor, and formerly of 220 Martin Road, St. Marys, died on Friday, December 23, 2016 at Pinecrest Manor following a lengthy illness.

She was born on June 7, 1921, in Byrnedale, PA a daughter of the late James and Victoria Fox Tyler.

On May 20, 1946 in St. Joseph Church in Force, she married Joseph Azzato, who preceded her in death on July 27, 2000.

Mrs. Azzato was a lifelong resident of the area and a member of Queen of the World Church.  She was worked as a hairdresser for many years in her home, and then retired from Community Nurses after many years of service.  She enjoyed housekeeping and going to her camp in Spring Run.

She is survived by her grandson, Brian Stahli and his wife Melissa of Kersey and by three great grandchildren, Kendra, Brady, and Aubree.  She is also survived by two brothers, William Tyler of St. Marys and John Tyler of Virginia, and by one sister, Vada Tucker of St. Marys, as well as by numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Amadeo Mascioni, her second husband, Joseph Azzato, her daughter, Mary Ann Stahli, and by two grandsons, Simon Frey and Francis Cancilla.  She was also preceded in death by four sisters, Kathryn Carlsom, Elenora Yetzer, Mary Verna Feidler, and Ellen Zuchelli and by one brother, Charles Tyler.

A Memorial Service for Edith O. Azzato will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2016, at 11:00 AM at Lynch-Green Funeral Home with  Rev. Richard Allen, officiating.
Interment will be in St. Boniface Cemetery.

There will be no visitation.

Interment will follow in St. Boniface Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Queen of the World Church.
