Edwin J. Heiberger

Edwin J. Heiberger , 76, of 128 Melody Road, St. Marys, died on Monday, September 29, 2014 at his home following a brief illness.

He was born on November 24, 1937, a son of the late Bernard Heiberger and Vera Heliker Heiberger Vollmer.

On June 7, 1958 in St. Marys Church, he married Bona Djorevich Heiberger, who survives.

Mr. Heiberger attended St. Marys Schools and worked as a General Foreman at Stackpole Carbon Company, retiring in 1987.  He owned Redmond Bros. in Ridgway.  He was past president of the Stackpole Foreman's Club and was a life member of the NRA.  He was also an avid gun collector and a 50 plus year voting honoree.  He loved carpentry, gardening, and spending time with his great grandchildren.

In addition to his wife of more than 56 years, Bona Djorevich Heiberger, he is survived by:

Brother: Bernard (Sally) Heiberger, St. Marys, PA
Numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Danial Ruffner on October 19, 2013.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Edwin J. Heiberger will be celebrated on Thursday, October 2, 2014, at 10:00 AM at St. Marys Church, Church St., St. Marys, with Rev. Alfred Patterson, OSB, officiating.
Interment will be in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
