Elizabeth A. "Beth" Gnan , 58, of 103 Hemlock Lane, Kersey, died on Monday, November 6, 2017 at her home following a brief illness.
She was born on May 11, 1959, in Grand Forks, ND, a daughter of James Naphy of Patterson, CA and the late Pauline Maderios Naphy.
On November 30, 2007 in Oakland, CA, she married Harold Gnan, who survives.
Beth graduated from James Logan High School in Union City, CA. She was a member of the Kersey Eagles where she had also served as Chaplain. Beth loved life and loved her dogs, and she enjoyed going for rides and walks. She also greatly enjoyed traveling to Benezette to see the elk.
In addition to her husband Harold, she is survived by her father, James Naphy and his wife Kay of Patterson, CA, by a daughter, Melissa Pruneda of San Leandro, CA and by one granddaughter, Shariah Pruneda. She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Joan Gnan of St. Marys.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Pauline Maderios Naphy, by a brother, James R. Naphy, Jr., and by a sister, Cynthia Shannon.
Funeral Services for Elizabeth A. "Beth" Gnan are being held privately and at the convenience of the family.
