Floyd "Pinky" Herzing

Floyd C. "Pinky" Herzing , 82, of 1910 Bucktail Trail, St. Marys, died on Monday, July 4, 2011 at Elk Regional Health Center following a brief illness.
He was born April 27, 1929 in St. Marys, a son of the late William and Mary Garbic Herzing.
November 25, 1950, he married Ethel "Eppie" Schauer Herzing, who survives.

Mr. Herzing was a member of Queen of the World Church where he also served as a Eucharistic Minister.  He was a  veteran of the U.S. Navy.  He worked at Stackpole Carbon for more than 25 years, and also worked for ARCO and Hughes Aircraft.  Over the years he also owned and operated Herzing's Tax Shop, Herzing's Greenhouse and co-owned P & J Machine Shop.  He enjoyed volunteering for Make-a-Wish and Christmas Day Happenings and had been a Scoutmaster for Troop 100 as well as a member of Order of the Arrow.  He enjoyed goli
