Frank A. Asti

Frank A. "Bumbo" Asti , 82, of 221 Wendel Road, St. Marys, died on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at Penn Highlands Elk following a brief illness.

He was born on April 10, 1936, in Johnsonburg, a son of the late Samuel and Genevieve Mucci Asti.

On October 24, 1964, in Mt. Jewett, he married Joanne Ennis Asti, who preceded him in death on April 17, 2018.

Frank was a lifelong resident of the area and worked at Airco Speer for many years.  He was a caregiver to his beloved wife Joanne and was heartbroken when she passed in April.  Frank loved cooking and gardening, using the fruits and vegetables from his garden to make his own recipes for great soups and excellent pizza.  His family looked forward to his homemade bread at almost every family gathering.   Frank also enjoyed his fantasy football league, but above all, Frank loved his family more than anything, including his dog Teddy who was his constant companion.

He is survived by a son, Frank "Brett" Asti of St. Marys, a daughter, Lauri McWilliams and her husband Dave of Pottstown, and a grandson, Brett "Brayden" Asti.  He was also survived by three brothers, Sam (Rita) Asti of St. Marys, Donald (Ellen) Asti of St. Marys, and Richard (Carol) Asti of Anderson, SC, as well as by a sister-in-law, Lorraine Asti of St. Marys and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and his beloved wife, Joanne Ennis Asti, he was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Asti.

A Memorial Service for Frank A. Asti will be held on Thursday, July 12, 2018, at 11:00 AM at Lynch-Green Funeral Home with Fr. Jeffery Noble officiating.

Friends and family will be received at the funeral home from 10:00 am until the time of the service.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Elk County Humane Society.
