Frank L. Ginther

Frank L. Ginther , 75, of 265 Honey Lane, St. Marys, died peacefully at his home on Friday, May 27, 2022 with his family by his side.

He was born on December 13, 1946, in St. Marys, a son of the late LeRoy and Gertrude Vollmer Ginther.

On November 6, 1971, he married the love of his life, Connie Jeter.  Together they were blessed with more than 50 years of love, laughter, and happiness.

Frank was a lifelong resident of the area and graduate of St. Marys High School, class of 1965.  He served in the U.S. Army from 1966-1968 during the Vietnam War.  He then retired from National Fuel after more than 31 years of service.

An avid hunter and fisherman, Frank also enjoyed canning and gardening.  He could often be found outdoors, always enjoying shed hunting in the woods.  He was also big fan of the Steelers, and loved his Friday night visits with his camp crew.  Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children; Frank Ginther and his wife Stacy of Weedville and Rhonda Heigel and her husband George of Kersey, by 10 grandchildren; Larissa, Isabell, Jade, Sierra, Trevor, Ivy, Levi, Aleena, Saige, and Amelia and by three great-grandchildren; Aubree, Eli, and Lucas. He is also survived by five siblings; Dennis (Alice) Ginther, Thomas (Cookie) Ginther, Roger Ginther, Susan (Jim) Kaveney, Cathy (Fred) Trumbull, all of St. Marys, by two sisters-in-law; Aurelia Ginther and Bonnie Guilyard, and by numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother; Gary Ginther, by a sister in childhood; Mary Jane Ginther, and by a sister-in-law; Kathy Ginther.

A Memorial Service for Frank L. Ginther will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home with Rev. Jeffery Noble officiating.  Military Honors will be accorded by the St. Marys Servicemen’s Burial Detail.

Family and friends will be received at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 1. 2022 from 11:00 AM until the time of the service.

Interment will follow in the St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.
