Gary A. Meyer

Gary A. Meyer , 61, of 500 Elm Street, Weedville and formerly of St. Marys died on Monday, November 25, 2013 at Elk Regional Health Center after battling a lengthy illness.

He was born Aug 16, 1952 in St. Marys, a son of Rita M. Erich Meyer, who survives, and the late James E. Meyer.

On February 13, 1996, he married Jeanne Wicks Meyer, who survives.

Gary was a lifelong resident of the area and graduated from SMAHS.  He worked at Ammo & Arms for many years.  He was a member of the Camp Owners Association and the American Legion.  He enjoyed riding his 4-wheeler and going to camp with his brothers and friends.  He also enjoyed spending time at his cabin, hunting and riding his Harley.

In addition to his wife of more than 17 years, Jeanne Wicks Meyer, he is survived by:

3   Step Grandchildren - Justin, Ashley & Abby
Brother: Glenn Meyer and his wife Debbie, St. Marys

Brother: Doug Meyer, St. Marys
Brother: Gordon Meyer and his wife Bobbie, St. Marys
Sister: Terry, Mrs. Bob Neal, Brockway
Sister: Georgia, Mrs. Dan Williamson, Kersey
Numerous: nieces and nephews

There will be No Visitation.

Relatives and friends of Gary A. Meyer are invited to attend a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial which will be Celebrated at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 337 Center Street, St. Marys, on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Eric Vogt, O.S.B., as Celebrant.
