Geraldine V. Bille

Geraldine V. “Toots” Bille , 97, a resident of Elk Haven Nursing Home and formerly of 681 Center Street, St. Marys, died on Tuesday, May 29, 2018.

She was born June 14, 1920, in St. Marys, a daughter of the late Henry and Ann Haberberger Eckert.

On September 9, 1941 in St. Marys Church, she married Norbert F. Bille, who preceded her in death on March 22, 1988.

Toots was a lifelong resident of the area and a member of St. Marys Church.  She retired from Quality Components after more than 30 years of service and enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by a daughter, Doris Arnold and her husband Tom of St. Marys, by three sons, Dale Bille and his wife Jean of St. Marys, Paul Bille and his wife Sally of St. Marys, and Mark Bille and his wife Crystal of Weedville as well as by 10 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, and 2 step great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by two sisters, Patricia (William) Quagliani of Kersey and Jane Yetzer of Sun City, AZ, as well as by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, by two sisters, Leona Fritz and Catherine Herbstritt, and by eight brothers, Richard, James, Floyd “Boomer”, Thomas, Arthur “Skinny”, Carl “Shorty”, Raymond “Chub”, and Donald Eckert.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Gerladine V. Bille will be celebrated on Friday, June 1, 2018 at 10:00 AM at the St. Marys Church, Church Street, St. Marys, PA with Fr. Peter Augustine Pierjok, OSB, as celebrant.

There will be no public visitation.

Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Marys Church, Elk Haven Nursing Home or to Silvercreek Terrace.
