Grace C. Gregory

Grace C. Gregory , 90, a resident of Elk Haven Nursing Home, and formerly of 596 S. St. Marys Street, St. Marys, died on peacefully on Sunday, November 30, 2014 at Elk Haven Nursing Home following a lengthy illness.

She was born on August 11, 1924, in Rasselas, a daughter of the late Maurice and Mary Keilocker MacDonald.
On May 23, 1953 in St. Leo's Church, she married Leo E. Gregory , who preceded her in death on July 4, 1987.

Grace was a lifelong resident of the area and a graduate of Ridgway High School, class of 1942.  She then graduated from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in 1949 as a Registered Nurse.  Over the years, she worked at Elk County General Hospital, Andrew Kaul Memorial Hospital and at Elk Haven Nursing Home.  She enjoyed crocheting and was known for the afghans and Christmas stockings that she made.  She greatly enjoyed spending time with her family and will always be remembered for the prayers she offered for anyone in need.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by  2 brothers, John and William MacDonald, and by a sister, Helen Powell.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Grace C. Gregory will be celebrated on Thursday, December 4, 2014, at 10:00 AM at St. Marys Church, Church Street, St. Marys with Rev. Alfred Patterson, OBS and Rev. Eric Vogt, OSB, concelebrants.
Interment will be in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
