Helen C. Dornish Fredrickson, 84, of 1142 South Michael Rd. St. Marys , PA died at, PennHighlands-Dubois on Tuesday evening. (August 9, 2016) She was born February 8, 1932 in St. Marys, a daughter of the late Albert and Beatrice Krieg Samick, Sr. Mrs. Fredrickson graduated from the former Central Catholic High School in St. Marys. She raised eleven children while working as a caregiver at Elk Haven Nursing Home for many years. Helen was a loving wife, mother & grandmother and was a friend to all. She was a member of the Elk Baptist Church where she was active in weekly bible study. Helen is survived by three daughters, Pamela Sorg, Julia (John) Hackett and Janine (Ralph) Kneidel, all of St. Marys; two sons, David Dornish, St. Marys; and Tobias Dornish, New Castle; two step children, Karen Latshaw and Billy Fredrickson both of Kersey; ten Grandchildren, ten Great Grandchildren; one brother, Robert Samick, Ridgway; one sister, Marlene Braun, St. Marys. She was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Beatrice Krieg Samick, her first husband, James Dornish, second husband, Elden Beck, and her third husband, David Fredrickson; three sons, Daniel, Albert and John Dornish; three daughters, Sharon Dornish and Cynthia Hanes and Theresa McFall, one brother, Albert Samick, Jr., and two sisters, Alberta "Bertie" Ehrensberger and Gertrude Gardner. Visitation will be at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home, 151 N. Michael St., St. Marys, PA on Friday from 5-8 PM. Funeral Service will be held at the Elk Baptist Church, Ford Road, St. Marys, PA on Saturday (August 13, 2016) at 11:00 AM with Rev. Barry Moyer, Pastor officiating. Burial will be in the St. Marys Catholic Cemetery, St. Marys, PA. Memorial Contributions may be made to Elk Baptist Church, 191 Ford Rd. St. Marys, PA 15857
