Helen E, Herr, 90, a resident of Pinecrest Manor and formerly of 306 Walnut Street, St. Marys, died on Saturday, August 23, 2014.
She was born on December 16, 1923, a daughter of the late Ambrose and Elizabeth Fox Kreckle.
On October 7, 1947 in St. Marys, she married Allen "Acky" Herr, who preceded her in death on November 30, 2011.
Helen was a lifelong resident of the area and a graduate of Central High School, class of 1941. She was a member of the St. Marys Church and enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by a son, Harry Herr and his wife Ruth of Palmyra, PA, 2 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and a sister, Miriam Arnold of St. Marys, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Arline Burden, Ruth Nussbaum and Irma Skok.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Helen E, Herr will be celebrated on
Wednesday, September 03, 2014, at 12:00 PM
at St. Marys Church, Church St.., St. Marys with Rev. Alfred Patterson, OSB, officiating.
Interment will be in the St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.
There will be no public visitation.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the St. Marys Church or to Pinecrest Manor.
