Helen M. Kronenwetter
, 97, a resident of Elk Haven Nursing Home and formerly of 617 Sunset Road, St. Marys, died on Friday, October 26, 2018 at Elk Haven Nursing Home following a lengthy illness.
She was born on September 24, 1921, in Tarentum, a daughter of the late John and Ruth Gregory Welton.
On November 22, 1945 in Charleston, West Virginia, she married Joseph G. Kronenwetter, who preceded her in death on January 26, 2012.
Helen was a graduate of Kittanning High School. She was a member of the Shiloh Presbyterian Church and retired from the Stackpole Corporation after many years of service. She was Past Matron of the John Wanamaker Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed flowers and taking care of her home.
She is survived by two sisters, Vera Bankovich and Charlotte, Mrs. Vincent "Pete" Murray, both of St. Marys. She is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Jane (Jerome) Rupprecht and Bette Boschert, both of St. Marys, as well as by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Russell and Paul Welton.
Funeral Services for Helen M. Kronenwetter will be held on Monday, October 29, 2018, at 11:00 AM at Lynch-Green Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Wiest officiating.
Interment will follow in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home on Sunday, October 28, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Elk Haven Nursing Home Activities Fund or to a charity of choice.
