Helen "Phyllis" Leasgang
, 81, of 1450 Million Dollar Highway, Kersey, died on Sunday, February 15, 2015 at the home of her daughter following a lengthy illness.
She was born on May 20, 1933, daughter of the late Anthony and Helen Sass Polites.
On October 25, 1952, she married Howard Leasgang, who preceded her in death on November 9, 1987.
Phyllis was a lifelong resident of the area and a member of St. Boniface Church. She retired from Powdered Metals in St. Marys after many years of service. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and gardening.
She is survived by three daughters:

Diane (Robert) Snyder, Kersey, PA
Sandra Palmer, Kersey, PA
3 Grandchildren: Jason Palmer, Jamie Brown and Zackery Snyder
2 Great-Grandchildren: Ethen and Emma
Brother: Joseph (Ann) Polites, VA
Sister: MaryAnn (Joseph) Brock, Curwensville, PA
Sister: Ramona Teklinski, Clearfield, PA
Several nieces and nephews
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Anthony, William and James Polites and by two sisters, Shirley Polites and Dorothy Johnston.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Helen "Phyllis" Leasgang will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 18, 2015, at 12:00 PM at St. Boniface Church with Fr. Ross Miceli, Pastor, officiating.
Interment will follow in St. Boniface Cemetery.
There will be no public visitation.
