James R. Laughner

James R. Laughner , 81, of Ridgway, died on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Elk Haven Nursing Home following a brief illness.

He was born on March 28, 1936, in Ridgway, a son of the late Floyd "Bill" and Beatrice Olson Laughner.

Jim was a graduate of Ridgway High School, class of 1954 and was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church.  He retired from Allegheny Power and was an avid member of the Ridgway Rifle Club and the NRA.

He is survived by a daughter, Michelle Holsopple of Ridgway, a son, James (Linda) Laughner of Lebanon, PA, by six grandchildren, Christina, Daniel, Leanne and Alan Laughner, and Aaron and Emily Holsopple, as well as by seven great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by two sisters, Patricia (James) Wagoner of Kentucky, Beatrice Dworkin of New York, and by a brother, Bruce (Cheryl) Laughner of Warren, PA.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Marilyn Silvers.

Funeral and Committal Services for James R. Laughner are being held privately and at the convenience of the family.
