James F. Metrovich
, 70, of 3529 Old State Road, Daguscahonda, died unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, April 28, 2018.
He was born on November 30, 1947, in St. Marys, a son of the late Thomas and Alice Supon Metrovich.
Jim was a retired truck driver who had worked for Airco Speer, Metco, and Johnson's Poultry. He then retired from Hillandale Farms. He greatly enjoyed baseball and softball, and played on the Legion teams. He also enjoyed shooting pool and was a proud member of the NRA who also enjoyed hunting, Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and was the best Papa to his grandchildren.
He is survived by a brother, Paul (Jean) Metrovich of CA, his lifelong best friends, Dave Heberling of St. Marys and Ken Heberling of Brockway, and by his longtime love and companion, Lisa Leschner of Mt. Jewett and her daughters, Amber Leschner and Mary Delaney, and by granddaughters, Neveah Leschner and Makayla Kronenwetter.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Schaut.
Funeral and Committal Services for James F. Metrovich are being held privately and at the convenience of the family.
