James "Jimboi" Piccirillo

January 19, 1941 — May 10, 2014

James A. "Jimboi" Piccirillo , 73, of 132 Teaberry Road, St. Marys, died on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Penn Highlands Elk following a brief illness.

He was born on January 19, 1941, a son of the late Joseph and Catherine Rezzelle Piccirillo.

On July 3, 1976 in St. Marys, he married JoAnn Burgeson Piccirillo, who survives.

Jimboi was a member of Queen of the World Church.  He was a graduate of St. Leo's High School, class of 1959.  He served in the National Guard and the U.S. Army Reserves and attended the Orra Jean Academy in Erie.  He retired from Powdered Metal Products after many years of service.  In his later years and until presently, he owned and operated Jimboi's Catering.  At one time, he was also the owner of Jimboi's Beauty Salon.  He was a member of the American Legion, the Crystal Fire Department and was an avid Buffalo Bills fan.  He enjoyed his coffee club at McDonald's, as well as his friends at the Legion.  He loved cooking and feeding his family and friends, and was known for his sense of humor.  Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife of nearly 39 years, he is survived by :

Son: Christopher (Holly) Piccirillo, St. Marys, PA
Daughter: Jill, Mrs. Paul Tomaka, Killeen, TX
9 Grandchildren: Danielle, Haley, Melena, Zachary, Cole, Leah, Mia, Giada, and Jonathon
He is also survived by a brother Michael (Mary Ann) Piccirillo of Du Bois, and a sister-in-law, Barb Piccirillo of Florida.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Piccirillo.

A Mass of Christian Burial for James A. Piccirillo will be celebrated on Friday, May 16, 2014, at 10:00 AM at Queen of the World Church, 134 Queens Road, St. Marys, PA  with Rev. Alfred Patterson, OSB, and Rev. Eric Vogt, OSB, officiating.
Interment will be in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.
Military Honors will be accorded by the St. Marys Servicemen's Burial Detail.

Visitation will be held at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home, 151 N. Michael St., St. Marys, on Thursday, May 15, 2014 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.


In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to the Crystal Fire Department, the Amercian Cancer Society or to the St. Leo's School in Ridgway.
