Jason A. Trask
, 33, of 1070 Theresia Street, St. Marys, died on Thursday, February 5, 2015 in Clearfield County following injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
He was born on October 20, 1981, a son of Carl and Cheryl Jasper Baumgratz and Thomas (Gretchen) Trask, who survive.
Jake was a graduate of SMAHS, class of 2000, and had recieved a degree in Wildlife Management from Penn State. He greatly enjoyed nature and being outdoors. He loved spending time with his dog, Marley, and will always be remembered for his kindness and being there for his friends and family.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Rob (Mindy) Trask, his maternal grandmother, Belva Jasper, his paternal grandfather, Carl "Harry" Baumgratz and 2 nieces and a nephew, Macy, Lyssa, and Matthew, all of St. Marys. He is also survived by his companion, Sheila Mazzaferro of DuBois, his aunt, Susie (Don) Okonski of DuBois, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and good friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Robert Jasper, his paternal grandmother, Ruth Baumgratz and by a special uncle, David Jasper.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Jason A. Trask will be celebrated on Monday, February 9, 2015, at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church, Center Street, St. Marys with Rev. Eric Vogt, OSB, officiating.
Interment will be in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home on Sunday afternoon, February 8, 2015 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Elk County Humane Society or to the Alzheimer's Association.
