Jean M. Schlimm

August 23, 1936 — June 3, 2012

Jean M. Schlimm , 75, of 289 West Creek Road, St. Marys, died at her home on Sunday, June 3, 2012.

She was born August 23, 1936 in St. Marys, a daughter of the late John and Clara Prechtl Detsch.

On September 2, 1957 in St. Marys Church, she married the late Ferdinand "Buzz" Schlimm.

Mrs. Schlimm was a member of St. Marys Church.  She graduated from Central High School, class of 1954.  She and her husband owned and operated Adventure's Morgan Horse Stables for many years.  They also owned and operated Schlimm's Market on Brussells Street.  She greatly enjoyed her horses and dedicated her life to caring for and boarding the horses.  She was a loving and devoted wife and mother who also enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and her beloved husband of nearly 55 years, Ferdinand "Buzz" Schlimm, she was preceded in death by:
3 Brothers: Paul, Clarence and Richard Detsch
4 Sisters: Kathleen Steffy, Helen Fellows, Leona Steislinger and Mary Nelson

There will be No Visitation .

Relatives and friends of Jean M. Schlimm are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial which will be Celebrated at the St. Mary's Catholic Church, Church Street, St. Marys, on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Meinrad Lawson, O.S.B., as Celebrant.
Burial will be in the St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.
