Joanne Asti

Joanne Asti , 76, of 221 Wendel Road, St. Marys, died peacefully at her home on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 following a lengthy illness.

She was born on March 7, 1942, in Kane, a daughter of the late Arthur Ennis and Florence Johnson Ennis Moorcroft.

On October 24, 1964 in Mt. Jewett, she married Frank Asti, who survives.

Joanne was a graduate of Kane High School and a member of Queen of the World Church.  She worked for many years as the beloved clerk at the front desk at Ames, and will fondly be remembered for her kindness and smile while working there.  She greatly enjoyed ceramics and wood crafts, and was also a very talented decorator and upholsterer.  She loved to play cards with her friends and enjoyed trips to Salamanca with them.  She also enjoyed line dancing and watching the Pirates with her husband, and hadn't missed watching a game in a number of years.  She was a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother who loved spending time with her family and her dog, Teddy.

In addition to her husband of more than 53 years, Frank Asti, she is survived by a son, Brett Asti of St. Marys, a daughter, Lauri McWilliams and her husband Dave of Pottstown, and by her beloved grandson, Brett "Brayden" Asti.  She is also survived by two nephews, Scott and Paul Ennis.

She was preceded in death by her father, Athur Ennis, her mother and step-father, Florence and Robert Moorcroft, a brother, Eugene Ennis, and by a niece, Julie Ennis.

A Memorial Service for Joanne Asti will be held on Friday, April 20, 2018, at 11:00 AM at Lynch-Green Funeral Home with Fr. Jeffery Noble officiating.

Friends and family will be received at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Elk County Humane Society.
