John Ehrensberger

January 20, 1946 — August 1, 2015

John A. Ehrensberger , 69, of 603 Fernwood Road, St. Marys, died following a lengthy illness on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at his home, surrounded by his family.

He was born on January 20, 1946, a son of the late Edward "Auby" and Marie Fuller Ehrensberger.

John was a lifelong resident of the area and a member of St. Marys Church.  He worked at Stackpole Carbon Company and Sylvania, retiring after more than 25 years of service.  He enjoyed spending time with his dog, Bud, and going to camp.  Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by 2 sons, Adam Ehrensberger and his wife Kyra of Ridgway and Jason Ehrensberger and his wife Jennifer of St. Marys and by 5 grandchildren, Samantha Jo, Reece, Maximus. Priscilla and Isabelle Ehrensberger.  He is also survied by 2 sisters, Mary Ann, Mrs. Edward Mattivi and Kay Ehrensberger both of St. Marys, one brother, David (Leah) Ehrensberger of St. Marys, two sisters-in-law, Pat Ehrensberger of Fort Walton Beach, FL and Joyce Ehrensberger of St. Marys, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Abram Ehrensberger and Daniel Ehrensberger.

A Mass of Christian Burial for John A. Ehrensberger will be celebrated on Thursday, August 6, 2015, at 12:00 PM at St. Marys Church, Church St., St. Marys, with Rev. Alfred Patterson, OSB, officiating.
Interment will be in the St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
