John F. Gausman

John F. Gausman , 69, a resident of Pinecrest Manor and formerly of Rasselas, died on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Penn Highlands Elk following a lengthy illness.

He was born on May 26, 1952, in St. Marys, a son of the late Richard and Sara Meyers Gausman.

John was a lifelong resident of the area and graduate of St. Marys High School.  He worked for Airco-Speer for many years.  He was a member of the Wilcox Sportsmens Club and American Legion.  His passion was old cars, and he enjoyed spending his time working on them.

He is survived by one brother; Joseph Gausman of St. Marys, by two sisters; Martha Gausman and Mary (Jerome) Steis, both of St. Marys, and by numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three siblings in early childhood; Jimmy, Betty, and Willie, and by a brother; Thomas Gausman.

A Mass of Christian Burial for John F. Gausman will be celebrated on Thursday, August 19, 2021, at 11:00 AM at St. Marys Catholic Church, 315 Church Street, St. Marys, PA 15857 with Rev. Peter Augustine Pierjok, OSB, as celebrant.
Interment will follow in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home on Thursday from 9:30 until 10:30 AM.
