Joseph "Happy Joe" Naglich

Mr. Naglich was a member of the Queen of the World Church.  He graduated from Emporium High School, class of 1950.  He served in the US Army, 45th Infantry Division, 179th Regiment of Company H during the Korean War and after the war in Tooley, Greenland.  He was an entrepreneur who owned a Texaco gas station and Texas Hot stand in Cuba, NY.  At one time he owned a farm in Sinnemahoning known as The Willows Inn.  He also owned numerous auto repair shops, retail and wholesale car lots and was affectionately known as the "King of the Million Dollar Highway".  For many years, he has enjoyed working on and collecting military vehichles and antique classic cars, such as Rolls Royces.  He was a member of the American Legion Post 103, VFW Post 6221, the Thunderbirds 45th Infantry Association, the 179th Regiment Association and the Rolls Royce Owner's Club.

In addition to his wife of nearly 46 years, Betty Riedl Naglich, he is survived by:

Daughter: Jeanne, Mrs. Jim Reitmyer, Michigan

Cousin: Amelia Van der Hearst, New Jersey

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Naglich, in early childhood.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Joseph R. "Happy Joe" Naglich will be celebrated at the Queen Of The World Church, 134 Queens Road, St. Marys, on Monday, August 29, 2011 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Michael Ferrick, Pastor, as Celebrant.

Military Honors will be accorded by the St. Marys Servicemen's Burial Detail.

Burial will follow in the St. Marks Cemetery in Emporium.

Visitation will be at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home, 151 N. Michael Street, St. Marys, on Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM .
