Kathleen M. Wilson

Kathleen M. Wilson , 78, a resident of Pinecrest Manor, and formerly of 530 Hall Aveue, St. Marys, died on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at Penn Highlands Elk following a lengthy illness.

She was born on March 29, 1937, in Johnsonburg, a daughter of the late Andrew and Margaret Soloman Santaniello.

On June 30, 1961 in Holy Rosary Church, she married Richard F. Wilson, who survives.

Kathy was a graduate ot Johnsonburg HIgh School and a member of Queen of the World Church.  After working for 10 years at Stackpole, she then spent her time as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother,  She enjoyed knitting and crocheting, and will be remembered for the afghans she made over the years.  Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, who were the light of her life.

In addition to her husband of more than 54 years, Richard F. Wilson, she is survived by a daughter, Kimberly, Mrs. Michael Gerg, Jr., of Kersey, 3 sons, Douglas Wilson of St. Marys, Kenneth Wilson and his wife Barb of NC, and Mark Wilson and his wife Annette of St. Marys; by 5 grandchildren, Amanda (Jordan) Pollard, Amber (Dan) Sullivan, Jason (Shanelle) Brennen, Kayla Brennen and Abigail Gerg and by 7 great-grandchildren, Aydrik, Breken, Jaxon, Lilly, Brantley, Paisley, Bentley and one great grandchild on the way.  She is also survived by 6 sisters, Rita (Junie) Gahr of Kersey, Mary Nicklas of St. Marys, Theresa (Bernard) Bauer of St. Marys, Dolores (Bruce) Lingren of Johnsonburg, Cecelia (Michael) Weaver of Ohio and Valerie Santaniello of Wilcox, and by 2 brothers, Anthony (Pat) Santaniello of DuBois amd Andrew Santaniello of Ridgway, as well as by many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Betsy McClain and Ann Struble, a sister-in-law, Mary Santaniello and by a brother-in-law, Earl "Snuffy" Nicklas.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Kathleen M. Wilson will be celebrated on Monday, August 24, 2015, at 10:00 AM at Queen of the World Church, 134 Queens Road, St. Marys, PA with Rev. Richard Allen, Pastor, officiating.
Interment will be in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home on Sunday, August 23, 2015 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
