Leola "Lee" Dippold

Leola A. "Lee" Dippold , 81, of Benzinger Road, St. Marys, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 after losing her long battle with Cancer.

Lee was born on March 21, 1932 in Cyclone, PA, daughter of the late Clyde "Pep" Stilson and Clara (Argue) Stilson.   In August of 1952, she married the late Gilbert "Gibby" Dippold who proceeded her in death in 1993.

Mrs. Dippold was a 1951 graduate of Bradford High School.   Over the years she worked at G.C. Murphys, Sylvania and Andrew Kaul Memorial Hospital, from which she retired.  Over the past several years, she enjoyed attending the Fox Township Senior Center (among other Centers in the county) to dance when they had entertainment.  She competed in and won several ribbons at the Annual Senior Games in Bradford.

She is survived by her gentleman friend, Blaine Stauffer, of St. Marys, a daughter Connie (Ray) Bauer, of Cherryville, NC, a son Carl (Wallissa) Dippold of St. Marys, a daughter Darlene (Don Johnson) Robbins of Mt. Jewett and a daughter Donna (Bob) Desibaugh, of Cresson, PA, two brothers, Robert (Margaret) Stilson, and Dick (Jeannette) Stilson, both of Pheonix, AZ, sisters Frances (Al) Murray and Sally (Ken) Roberts of Oklahoma City, sisters-in-law Sandy Stilson of Andover, OH and Ellen Stilson of Clerance, NY, Catherine (Boots) Young, Patty Selle, Marlene (Molly) Glatt, Carol Carr, and Mary Andrus all of St. Marys, 8 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister Lois Coast, 2 brothers; Gerald "Butch" Stilson and Clyde "Sam" Stilson and a granddaughter in infancy.

A celebration of Lee's life will be held at the Fox Township Senior Center, Main Street, Kersey, PA  on Saturday, January 25, 2014 from 1-4 PM.

Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society, Community Nurses Hospice of Elk County or to a charity of the donors choice.
