Lois J. Kneidel

Lois J. (Storrar) Kneidel , 61, lost a long, hard fought battle with cancer on Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013.
She was born May 6, 1952, the daughter of the late Christie 'Crip' Storrar and Hazel (Severance) Storrar, of Wilcox.

In 1975, she married Dave Kneidel, and they have two married children, Matthew (Emily Meier) who is a civil engineer in Pittsburgh, and Elizabeth 'Bizz' (Marc) Miles who is an educator in Raleigh, N.C. She has two sisters, Christine (Herb) Bohley of Johnsonburg, and Peggy (Butch) Hannold of Kane.  She also has two brothers, Richard (Laurie) Storrar and Craig Storrar of Wilcox.

She graduated from Johnsonburg Area schools in 1970, attended Edinboro State College, where she earned a degree in elementary education. She taught in Saegertown, St. Marys and Johnsonburg school districts for 30 years. She never regretted even one day in the classroom. She often said she was honored to have had the opportunity to impact so many young lives.

Lois was an honest, caring and giving person who lived by the motto, "The more you love, the more you'll find that life is good and friends are kind."  Even in the direst of situations she always tried to stay positive.

She enjoyed traveling around our beautiful country, reading avidly, knitting, sewing and constructing quilts.  She looked forward to lunch with her retired teacher friends and with the "quilting bunch."

She also liked spending time at "camp," and being outdoors. She was happiest when she was surrounded by friends and family.  She will be greatly missed by anyone who knew her.

Funeral services for Lois J. Kneidel are private and will be held at the discretion of the family.

Burial will be in the St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.
