Lynda L. Taylor , 74, of 335 Chestnut Street, St. Marys, died peacefully on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at her home following a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis.
She was born on February 6, 1944, in St. Marys, a daughter of the late John "Jack" and Anna Heindl Fleming.
On June 1, 1963 in Queen of the World Church, she married Robert C. Taylor, who survives. Lynda was a lifelong resident of the area and a graduate of Central High School, class of 1962.
In addition to her husband of more than 55 years, Robert C. Taylor, she is survived by two daughters; Lisa Snelick and her husband John of Canal Fulton, OH, and Tracy Ross and her husband Rich of Ridgway, by three sons; Bob Taylor and his wife Laurie, Todd Taylor and his wife Kim, and Troy Taylor and his wife Becki, all of St. Marys, and by six grandchildren, Taylor, Jordan, Brooke, Marshall, Todd, Jr., and Kirt. She is also survived by a sister, Helen Parisi and her husband Louie of Kersey.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by numerous aunts and uncles, including Vincent (Lillian) Heindl.
Lynda was a member of Sacred Heart Church and was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed cooking and baking. She greatly enjoyed meals out with her family, playing cards, and music. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Lynda L. Taylor will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 21, 2018, at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 337 Center Street, St. Marys, PA 15857 with Rev. Michael Gabler, OSB, officiating.
There will be no visitation.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to the Elk County Humane Society or to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.
