M. Jean Asti

M. Jean Asti , 73, of 249 N. St. Marys Street, and formerly of S. St. Marys Street, St. Marys, died at her home, St. Marys,
on Friday, December 9, 2011 after a courageous battle with emphysema.

She was born Apr 21, 1938 in St. Marys, a daughter of the late Leander and Alice Sorg Haberberger.
She married The late Anthony J. "Junior" Asti, who preceded her in death in 1994.

Mrs. Asti was a graduate of Central High School, class of 1956.  She and her husband owned and operated Asti's Bar,
formerly George's Place, in Johnsonburg for many years.  She was a member of Sacred Heart Church and a past member of the Elk County Council on the Arts.  She greatly enjoyed painting, bird watching and playing Bingo.  She was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and also enjoyed her elephant collection.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 325 Center Street, St. Marys, on
Tuesday, December 13, 2011  at 12:00 PM with Rev. Eric Vogt, O.S.B., as Celebrant.

Visitation will be at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home on Monday from 6-9 PM.

Burial will be in the Holy Rosary Cemetery in Johnsonburg.

Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
