Margaret "Peggy" Copello

March 30, 1932 — October 15, 2015

Margaret E. "Peggy" Copello , 83, of 546 Brandycamp Road, Kersey, died on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at Penn Highlands DuBois following a brief illness.

She was born on March 30, 1932, in Morrisdale, a daughter of the late  Gerald and Mildred Hummel Geist.

On June 18, 1949, she married Charles "Ray" Copello, who preceded her in death on March 22, 2014.

Peggy was a member of Maria Lutheran Church and a life member of the Fox Township Firemen's Club.  She was an avid Pirates and Steelers fan who also enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by 5 sons; Gary Copello of Milesburg, Larry (Tina) Copello of Dagus Mines, Charles "Chuck" Copello of St. Marys, Jerry Joe (Linda) Copello of St. Marys, Tony Copello of Kersey, and 2 daughters, Faythe Brown of St. Marys and Betsy Copello, of Kane.  She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Holly Scanish, a granddaughter, Mercy, and by two brothers, Robert and Lloyd Geist.

Funeral Services for Margaret E. "Peggy"  Copello will be held on Monday, October 19, 2015, at 11:30 AM at Maria Lutheran Church, 123 Toby Road, Dagus Mines, with Rev. Erik Hart, officiating.

Interment will follow in Ridge Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home on Monday morning from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM.
